cvannoyOn Friday, April 28, the Make-a-Wish Foundation of Wyoming celebrated a Sheridan’s child’s wish. The Sheridan, Wyoming, Make-A-Wish Wyoming surprised local wish kid, Hudson Wills age 7, with the granting of his wish for a Ferla cargo bike. The celebration took place in the dining room at The Hub on Smith at 2 p.m.
On hand at the presentation were Josh Law, board member and Morgan Poloncic, CEO of Make-a-Wish Wyoming.
Poloncic said this about the bike that they gave to Hudson.
Hudson’s mother talked about the new bike, and the Make-A-Wish foundation.
Carsten Wills, Hudson’s father, talked about how the bike would change things for his son.
Also in attendance was Gretchen McCafferty, student council sponsor at SHS, along with several of the high school students who helped to raise money towards the purchase of the bicycle.
She first introduced the students who attended the celebration,
Then she added about how the students raised the funds.
The Make-a-Wish Foundation has granted 43 wishes in Wyoming and there are two other wishes in progress for children in Sheridan and Buffalo.
Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with critical illnesses. Since 1985, Make-A-Wish Wyoming has brought the hope, strength, and joy of a wish to more than 700 children in the state.
