Gillette Junior High School Student Arrested For Making Threats
A Gillette teenager has been arrested for making threats while at a junior high school.
The Gillette Police Department says on Wednesday, April 6th, the 13-year old male threatened to shoot other students at Twin Spruce Junior High School.
Officers determined the student did not have access to any firearms, but was arrested for making terroristic threats.
A person can face that charge if he or she threatens to commit any violence with the intent to cause serious public inconvenience.
The Gillette Police Department urges residents to immediately report any threat of violence to law enforcement or school officials, and all reports will be investigated.
Parents and guardians are also encouraged to talk to their children about the serious consequences of making threats.
