Wyoming US House Representative Harriet Hageman is working her way around the Cowboy State to hear from the people, and so far, they seem to be on the same page on a lot of issues.
Hagemen has had around 10 town hall meetings in Wyoming this year and plans to have one in each county before the year is over.
She says from what she’s heard so far from Wyomingites shows they are paying attention to what’s going on in Washington as well as their own state.
Hageman adds Congress could learn a few things from Wyoming in terms of unity on various issues.
“I don’t see a big division in Wyoming, even in the legislature I think that there’s a lot of consensus on some of the important issues. There’s is some division and I think that the next election is probably going to see how that all plays out, but the folks of Wyoming, they want to protect our prosperity, they want to protect our freedoms and I think that we all do. So, it’s a matter of looking at what is going on in Washington D.C. and whether the decisions being made there are good or bad for us and in large part a lot of the decisions are not good.”
Congress is back in session beginning on Monday, March 20th.

She’s right. We all want the same things: Personal safety, Peace and Prosperity. The only real issue is how best to secure our needs and freedoms. History has proven that centralized control doesn’t work. Individual Liberty, limited gov’t and rule of law have served us well for almost 250 yrs. And will continue to do so, as long as we can preserve them from the encroaching collectivists attack. Freedom, not force, is the American way to success! She gets it and most of us get it. Now we just need to get DC on board with us.

Ah, conformity. Really something to be happy about, and what could go wrong? (Now, don’t be looking at 1930’s Germany!) Isn’t there something in Wyo constitution about protection from the majority? Back in my youth, Wyoming prided itself on independent thinking and voting for the best person, not who the party puts up. Now days thinking for yourself will get you in trouble.

Harriet Hageman’s statement that Wyoming residents agree on many issues is a shallow statement…the issue of abortion being a major issue that Wyoming residents do not agree upon…I agree with Governor Gordon there should be a referendum vote on abortion
