Crago Gives Legislative Update, Prepares for Budget Work This Week

State Representative Barry Crago (R-Johnson, Sheridan Counties) spoke with Sheridan Media about the latest happenings this past week in the legislature, and said all lawmakers are preparing to begin work on the budget this week.
He said during his last report that things were moving a little slower than usual due to the high number of new representatives in the house learning the process, and that has picked up.
Today the budget bill will be reviewed by the Committee of the Whole (COW), with the second reading coming Wednesday and the third reading scheduled for Friday.
Crago said the legislature will start the crossover beginning next week.
Crago discussed some specific legislation, and we will have more on that tomorrow.

Actually, the new legislators are doing well. The first two weeks were unproductive because bills were not available for the majority floor leader to assign. To blame the new legislators is unfair. Go to YouTube and watch for yourselves.
