Buffalo Council Approves Mayor’s Appointments

At their recent meeting Buffalo’s City Council voted to approve Mayor Shane Schrader’s recommendations for appointments to various boards.

Travis Lawrence was approved for a three-year term on the Buffalo Charitable Foundation Board, and to a two-year term on the Buffalo Poll Board.

Keith Neustel was approved for a three-year term on the Planning & Zoning Board.

Bill Ostheimer will serve a three-year term on the Buffalo-Johnson Recycleing Center Joint Powers Board.

And Rick Durfee will serve a two-year term on the Mountain Plains Heritage Park Joint Powers Board.

The council also discussed property and auto insurance renewal with North Wyoming Insurance.

City Clerk Julie Silbernagel said the policy is the same as last year with some minor changes.

According to discussions the annual premium the city will pay is just under $89,000.
