Texas Man Charged With Robbing Gillette Bank

Police say a Texas man has been arrested and is accused of robbing the First National Bank of Gillette.

According to Gillette Deputy Police Chief Brent Wasson, just after 9am on Wednesday (November 9th), 33-year old Preston Selph passed a note to a bank teller saying he was armed.

After obtaining about $2,000, he left in a Silver Ford Mustang, but was followed by a resident onto I-90 east, and law enforcement caught up to Selph a short time later.

Investigators found the money and the note, but did not find a weapon.

Robbery is punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and aggravated robbery is punishable by up to 25 years behind bars.
