January 6 Committee Holds Second Public Hearing

The House Select Committee investigating the January 6, 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol held its second public hearing Monday. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has more.
Congresswoman Liz Cheney (R-WY) delivered a closing statement at the conclusion of the January 6th Select Committee’s second public hearing about the findings of their investigation. Cheney, Vice-Chair of the Select Committee, provided details of what’s expected at the committee’s upcoming public hearings later this week.
Monday’s hearing included testimony from former Attorney General William Barr and others within the Department of Justice. Barr, in recorded testimony, said then-President Donald Trump didn’t seem to be listening when he had told him that he did not find any signs of widespread election fraud and that it was like playing Whac-a-Mole when dealing with Trump and his allies’ baseless claims of election fraud. Barr said Trump became detached from reality after the election.
In video testimony played at Monday’s hearing, Senior Investigative Counsel for the House of Representatives Amanda Wick said $250 million was raised by the Trump campaign between the election and the January 6 attack on the Capitol through millions of fundraising emails alleging voter fraud. Wick testified that the Trump campaign knew these claims of voter fraud were false, yet they continued to barrage small-dollar donors with emails encouraging them to donate to something called ‘The Official Election Defense Fund.’ According to the Select Committee, no such fun exists. There will be two more public hearings this week, one at 8 am (MDT) on Wednesday, and one at 11 am (MDT) on Thursday. Additional public hearings are anticipated, but not yet scheduled.

I believe it was Mark Twain who said, “It’s easier to fool people than convince them they have been fooled.” This explains, but doesn’t excuse, the misdirected anger at the Jan. 6th Committee rather than Trump, who grifted his supporters of millions based on claims he knew were false. Trump was right about one thing, “when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”

Footage looked awfully like what I watched live on that day. Why did Trump say “Come on the 6th it’s going to be wild”? Why is the hearing one sided- when Pelosi rejected the pedophile protector from Ohio who was already under investigation for his role in the insurrection, McCarthy pulled a publicity stunt that is now backfiring. And while we’re here, perhaps you can answer a question for me- Why, when your people take over why do they defecate on the floor and wipe it on the walls? (Trick question-I know the answer, I’ve read Jane Goodall.)

The purpose of this committee was to investigate, not to present. This was a biased “program” because the demoncrats are so afraid of TRUMP running in 2024. They are out to destroy him by spreading fake and biased news, they have a failed
president in biden, and all they are running on is Orange Man Bad.

Don’t know many Dems do you, our fervent hope is that Trump is renominated. He lost by 3 million votes the first time, and 8 million the second time. If the trend continues he would lose by more than 19 million in 24 and take the whole RQP with him. So please, throw us in that briar patch.
