Clearmont Historical Group to Host Powder River Tours

The Clearmont Historical Group, Clearmont, will host small group historical tours of the Lower Powder River, from Clearmont, Wyoming to Moorhead, Montana from June through September.

Ira Roadifer will give a history of the many sites along the way, including the Jake Lang and Paul Yates homestead sites; views of Crazy Woman Creek and Powder River; Camp Bettens, Suggs and Arvada; the K Ranch and IX Bar Ranch of the Kendrick Empire; the Moorhead, MT., recreational dam site and Post Office; the Reynolds Battle Site and the Cole and Walker 1865 campaign.

The cost is $40 per person, and it is limited to small groups.
