Arvada-Clearmont will Have 100% Graduation Again

SCSD#3 Board of Trustees met on Wednesday night, April 13, and Superintendent Brown reported that seven seniors will graduate from the Arvada-Clearmont High School on May 29 at 2 p.m.

The school will have a 100% graduation rate again in 2022.

The K-12 video presentation highlighted the students who attended the Teton Science School in Jackson earlier in the year.

The school was had a virtual snow day on Tuesday, and Dr. Brown said he felt they made a good call, as the roads closed shortly after school would have started.

The board approved two new science classes that would count towards a graduation science requirement, Agriculture Science and Forensic Science.

The board approved two letters of resignation, from Junior High Basketball Coach Seth Greear and HS Boys Basketball Coach Cameron Spade. They also approved the hire of HS Volleyball coach Payton Vrbas and Vocational Ag. Teacher and FFA Advisor Caleb Green.

The also approved to advertise for the two vacant coaching positions as well as full-time business office assistant/clerk.

Brown reported and how the new legislative bills will impact funding.

Business manager Greg Rohrer gave the current financial report, and the school district is in good shape financially. Trustee Betz asked if food costs have affected the food budget, and Rohrer said it had an effect, but so far the budget was still in good shape.

There was a discussion on the proposed fueling station for the school’s vehicles to save on fuel expense for the upcoming years.
