cvannoyOn Thursday, April 28, Sheridan Community Land Trust will kick-off for their first “Unplug with Discovery Sessions” event of 2022 “Herons at Home” from 5-6 p.m.
According to the SCLT news release, “Dr. Julie Rieder of Science Kids will lead this family-friendly hour as we celebrate the return of Great Blue Herons from their winter migration. Julie, an ecologist who adores teaching about all things Aves, will share stories about the fascinating lives of herons while we observe these majestic yet lumbering feathered friends prep their rookery to rear their next generation here in Wyoming. Like a treetop apartment building and nursery combined, we’ll have a room with a view as we discover herons at home!”
SCLT encourages attendees to dress for weather & bring water. There are limited binoculars available, and attendees are encouraged to bring their own. The group will park and meet at the Sportsman’s Warehouse parking lot, and from there, they will walk to the viewing site.
Unplug with Discovery Sessions are free to attend and are a partnership of Sheridan Community Land Trust and Science Kids.
