Eric Mass of Rapid City is racing on three wheels as he races out of the fourth turn in the 30-lap IMCA Modified feature.

Sheridan Speedway hosted the Cowboy Challenge Night One Friday. IMCA Modifieds and Wissota Midwest Modifieds raced. Polesitter Tripp Gaylor of Lakewood, Colo., won the 30-lap caution-free IMCA Modified feature from start to finish to collect a clean sweep. Sheridan’s Byran Bettcher finished 10th.

Tony Leiker of Gillette passed race leader and polesitter Chad Switzenberg of Sheridan with four laps to go to win the 20-lap Wissota Midwest Modified. He also collected a clean sweep. Sheridan’s Justin Elmer placed third, Justin Will placed 11th, Griffen Switzenberg finished 12th and Chad Kordus of Ranchester placed 19th.

The Cowboy Challenge Night Two is Saturday.
