Wyoming High School Graduation Rates Decrease During 2021-22 School Year

For the first time in eight years, the Wyoming High School graduation rate dropped, but the Wyoming Department of Education the rate remains to be strong.
The Department says the state graduation rate for the 2021-22 school year was at 81.8%, which is down from 82.4% the year before.
The last time there was a drop in the graduation rate was the 2012-13 school year and that rate was 77.6%.
Numbers-wise about 33 fewer students graduated state-wide in 2022, compared to 2021.
Despite the slight decrease, the graduation rate in Wyoming is greater than 80% for the 8th straight year.
As far as each individual school goes, Sheridan High School’s graduation rate for the 2021-22 school year was 85.1% which is down from 87.9% in the previous school year.
Big Horn’s rate was at 91.4%, which is up from 90.0%.
Tongue River’s rate was at 98.0%, which is up from 80.5%.
Arvada-Clearmont’s rate was at 100% for the second year in a row.
In Johnson County, Buffalo was at 93.0%, which is up from 86.7%, while Kaycee was at 90.9% which is down from 100%.
