Biteman Gives Latest on Property Tax Exemption Bill
State Senate President Bo Biteman (SD-21) spoke with Sheridan Media again this week, and discussed SF0069, the Property Tax Exemption Bill, which has been assigned to a conference committee to try to work out differences between the version passed in the Senate and the version passed in the House.
He explains further.
Biteman said he is 100% confident the conference committee will be able to get a compromise on the bill once they get to work on it.
Biteman was asked if he thought Governor Mark Gordon would sign the bill once it comes out of the conference committee.
He said the back-fill will probably be the sticking point as to whether or not the bill gets vetoed by the governor.

Sounds like a real tax relief plan.

SF69 should not be passed at this time. It should go to an interim study and be carefully, thoughtfully and thoroughly vetted. Tax relief is too important to be rushed.

It would be nice if the Governor would listen to our legislators who are closer to their constituency, especially over the last couple of years. We need relief at the local level.

Tax relief is too important to delay.
We need tax cuts and we need them now!
