State Wrestling Championships 2025: The first round of the State Wrestling Championships starts at 12-noon inside the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.

Winners will compete again at 4:30pm in the quarter-finals.

For the Sheridan boys, junior Keegan Rager and senior Kelten Crow will look to put the finishing touches on an undefeated season individually.

On the girls side, senior Becca Oetken will look to close out her high school career as a 3-time state champ.

Tongue River/Big Horn/Arvada-Clearmont HS Basketball: The 2A and 1A regional tournaments start today.

The 1A East Regional tournament will be held at Upton, and the Arvada-Clearmont Lady Panthers play in the first game of the day at 9am vs. Southeast.

The 2A East Regional tournament at Moorcroft will start later in the afternoon.

At 5:30pm it’s the Big Horn girls vs. Wright.

After that at 7pm, the Big Horn boys go up against Moorcroft and at 8:30pm, the Tongue River boys play Pine Bluffs.

The Tongue River girls have a first round bye and don’t play until tomorrow morning, against the Big Horn/Wright winner.

Sheridan HS Indoor Track and Field: Sheridan is scheduled to compete today at the Park County Invitational in Gillette.

Field events start at 10am, and running events at 11.

The state meet is next weekend.


University of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowgirls’ defense put the squeeze on New Mexico last night and that opened the door to a 59-40 win at home.

The Lady Lobos hit 5 shots in the 1st quarter, 5 in the 2nd, and a combined total of 5 in the entire second half.

Allyson Fertig made her return to the lineup and scored 15 points.

Malene Pedersen contributed with 11 and McKinley Dickerson came off the bench to put in 10.

Wyoming is now 18-10 on the season and have a 12-4 record in the Mountain West Conference, which puts them in a tie for 2nd place.

That spot will be on the line this Saturday as the ladies are on the road to play Colorado State.


Colorado Avalanche Hockey: The Colorado Avalanche won last night at home vs. New Jersey 5-1.

The Avs next play tomorrow at home vs. Minnesota.


Colorado Rockies Pre-Season Baseball: The Colorado Rockies won yesterday at Kansas City 7-6.

Nick Martini had both a solo home run and a 2-run shot in that game.

The Rocks next play today at home vs. LA Dodgers.

First pitch is scheduled for 1:10pm.
