The Wyoming High School Basketball season has started and one Sheridan High School player doesn’t have to worry if her senior season will impact college recruiters.
Alli Ligocki has signed her National Letter of Intent (NLI) to play basketball at Montana State Billings.
Last year she was an all-state selection, averaging 8.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per game, while shooting 49% on the season.
Ligocki says the Lady Yellowjackets coaches saw something in her that they liked, and in turn, she saw something in the program that interested her, thus it was a good fit.
“They told me that I was a really diverse player and that I can play a lot of different positions and they said that they really like how I can compete and they know that I’m going to be competing for minutes when I get up there next year. The program is really good. They’re top 10 in the nation right now for D-2 women’s basketball and the coaches were really nice. It’s close enough to home to where I can still come back and visit my siblings and still get to watch them grow up and be close to family.”
Ligocki adds she had also been considering Miles Community College in Montana and North Idaho College.
She is considering majoring in either criminal justice or english.
