High School Winter Sports Season Starts Soon: The Wyoming High School Winter Sports Season starts this coming Thursday.

In basketball, Sheridan will play 4 teams in 3 days at Riverton.

They’ll play the host team on Thursday, and then they’ll also play Rawlins, Jackson and Star Valley…with 2 of those games being played on Saturday.

You can hear all the games LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

Big Horn and Tongue River will head to Burns this weekend for a number of games.

BH will play Mitchell, Nebraska and Wheatland on Friday and Newcastle on Saturday.

TR will play Southeast and Douglas on Friday, and Moorcroft on Saturday.

Arvada-Clearmont will play 2 games on Saturday at Upton.

The Panthers and Lady Panthers will take on Meeteetse and Riverside.

In other winter sports, the defending 4A state champ Sheridan bronc wrestlers will start the season with a dual meet this Thursday at home vs. Worland beginning at 5pm.

Afterwards, the Bronc JV team will take on the Tongue River varsity squad.

Sheridan will then compete at a tournament at Rapid City, South Dakota on Friday and Saturday.

The Sheridan boys swimming team will compete Friday and Saturday at Gillette, while the nordic ski team will start the season at Laramie.


University Of Wyoming Basketball: The Wyoming Cowboys are back on the court tonight at home vs. the South Dakota School of Mines.

Tip-off is scheduled for 6:30pm and you can hear that game LIVE on AM 1410 KWYO and 106.9 FM.

The next game for the Wyoming Cowgirls is this coming Sunday at home vs. Crieghton.


University of Wyoming Cowgirl Volleyball: The UW Cowgirls are still alive in the National Invitational Volleyball Championship Tournament.

This past weekend, they won their first round game against South Dakota 3-1 and then swept the host team Northern Colorado.

As a reward, the Cowgirls are one of the host teams in the quarter-finals.

They will play tomorrow at home vs. Montana State beginning at 6:30pm.

Should they win, they would advance to the semi-finals which would be played sometime this weekend vs. either Wichita State or Drake.


Sheridan Hawks Hockey: The Sheridan Hawks look to extend their 4-game winning streak within the comforts of home sweet home this weekend.

The team will host Bozeman this Friday and Saturday.

The puck drops at 7:30pm on both nights.
