Troopers Earn a Split at Post 6 / Bronc Football Opens Mini Camp / Rockies v Astros Tonight

SHERIDAN AMERICAN LEGION BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers have wrapped up the number one seed for next weeks state tournament earning a split at Post 6 in Cheyenne Monday, the Sixers beat the Troopers 6-3 in the first game but the Troops came back for a 4-2 win in game two which wrapped up the number one seed.

The Troopers end the regular season winning 12 of 13 games including a 7-1 conference road trip, after arriving home late we will hear from Head coach Austin Cowen on sports tomorrow.

The Wyoming Double “AA” American Legion tournament opens Monday in Jackson.

The Sheridan Jets will host the “A” state tournament which will also get underway Monday.

BRONC FOOTBALL – “Little Bronc” football camp opened at Homer Scott stadium last night and a great group of youngsters came out to workout with the defending state champs.

Head coach Jeff Mowry says they were having a great first day.

And his first impression of being on the new Field Turf for the first time.

After Little Bronc camp the defending 4A state champs started their three day mini camp.

Fall training camp opens Monday August 7th, the Broncs open the regular season on the road at Cheyenne Central August 25th with the home opener against Cheyenne South September 1st.


ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies open a home series tonight against the Houston Astros, first pitch at 6:40 on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
