Lady Bronc Named the Gatorade Track Athlete for Wyoming / Troopers Sweep the Jackson Giants / Rockies Beat the Dodgers

2023 GATORADE TRACK ATHLETE OF THE YEAR – Sheridan Lady Bronc Addie Pendergast has been named the girls Gatorade track athlete of the year, Pendergast swept all three sprint championships at the Wyoming state track and field championships in may and was second on the 300 meter hurdles she also broke the all class state record at 400 meters at just under 55 seconds.

And the good news for the Lady Bronc track program going into next year is Penderagst did it all as a Junior this past season.

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers swept their double header with the Jackson Giants Wednesday the Troops took game one 9-2 and won the second game 9-1.

Trevor Stowe had a big night including hitting two home runs in game one and had a total of seven hits through both games, in game two Stowe started on the mound and got the victory, in five innings of work he gave up one hit and struck out nine.

Head coach Austin Cowen says the Troops came up big and had a great night.

It’s a quick turn around for the team as they open a tournament in Billings today will open with two games against the Billings Royals and Scarlets.

The Troops are 26-17 overall and unbeaten in league play andwe only get to see them play at home on more time this season that will be July 7th when the host league games with Laramie.

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies beat the Los Angeles Dodgers 9-8 Wednesday night they play the final game of the series tonight with the first pitch is at 6:40 you can hear Rockies games live this season on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
