Weekend Local Sports Wrap up

SOCCER – The 4A East regional soccer tournament finished up Saturday, now it’s onto the state championships set to begin Thursday in Rock Springs and both Sheridan high school teams will be competing, Sheridan Media’s Kevin Koile has the regional tournament wrap up.

TRACK AND FIELD – The all-class Wyoming state track and field championships get underway Thursday in Casper, full regional track results can be seen below on the sports page at sheridanmendia.com

TROOPER BASEBALL – The Sheridan Troopers double header scheduled at Casper Sunday didn’t happen even though the teams tried everything to get games in, field conditions in Casper made it impossible to play so they were willing to come to Sheridan to play but rain and wind forced the teams to call off the double header.

The Troops are now set to host a double header with the Billings Expos Saturday afternoon with the first game to start at 3:00

ROCKIES BASEBALL – The Colorado Rockies shut out Philadelphia 4-0 Sunday they open a home series tonight with Cincinnati first pitch is at 6:40 you can hear the Rockies this season on Smart Talk 106.3 FM.
