Funeral services for Stella Brock, 84 year old Kaycee resident who passed away suddenly Friday at the Johnson County Health Care Center will be held Friday, December 17th at 2:00 p.m. at the Harold Jarrard Park Building in Kaycee with Reverend Danny Davis officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Harness Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo and at the HJP on Friday from noon until 1:30 p.m.   A private family interment will be held in the Kaycee Cemetery  following the funeral. Donations in Stella’s memory may be made to the Hoof Prints of the Past Museum in care of the Harness Funeral Home a 351 N. Stella Mae Brock was born on December 19, 1936 in Buffalo, Wyoming to Clyde and Cora Key.  She attended grade school at the Sussex School and graduated from Kaycee High School with the class of 1955.  She was married on July 10, 1955 in Kaycee to Terrence Barnett Brock and they made their home on the family ranch on the Red Fork of Powder River. They ranched and raised their family on Red Fork until 1984 when the ranch sold. Stella was a waitress at the Country Inn in Kaycee for several years. She later went to work for the Kaycee School System as an aid and was also the curator at the Hoof Prints of the Past Museum. Barnett passed away in December of 1993 and Stella continued living in Kaycee until her death.

Stella was a member of the Barnum Women’s Club, the Grace Mission Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, the American Legion Auxiliary.  Stella’s passion was her family, especially spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Brock and his wife Lillian and Russell Brock and his wife Terri all of Kaycee; three daughters, Becky Chapman and her husband Don of Kaycee, Lynn Overton of New Mexico and Janet Cohee and her husband Roy of Kaycee; one sister Mary Jo Foreman of Bozeman, Montana; two half-sisters, Kathy Walker and Diane Doane both of Casper; two step-sisters Lita Snell and Cherry Tipton also of Casper; one step brother, Jack Austin of Kaycee seventeen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepmother, her husband Barnett, three brothers and two great-granddaughters.
