Funeral services for Ariana Johnson, 17-year-old Wyoming Virtual Academy Senior who passed away Friday in Buffalo, will be held Wednesday, October 20th at 2:00 p.m. at the Big Horn Baptist Church in Buffalo with Pastor Donnie Paulson officiating. A private family interment will be held later. Donations in Ariana’s memory may be made to Johnson County Uplift Scholarship Fund, a fund created to support suicide prevention, in care of the Harness Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo. Ariana Leigh Johnson was born on November 24, 2003 in Portsmouth, Virginia to Joe and Jennifer Johnson and the family made their home in Virginia Beach, Portland, Texas and Jacksonville, Florida, while her father was in the military. The family moved to Buffalo in 2015 where she attended Clear Creek Middle School and one year at Buffalo High School. She was attending Wyoming Virtual Academy at the time of her death.
Ariana was an excellent singer and loved baking and helping her friends. She was completely unselfish with her time and always willing to make someone’s day or life better. She is survived by her parents, Joe and Jennifer Johnson of Buffalo; one brother Gabriel Johnson also of Buffalo; her paternal grandparents, Mike and Joanne Johnson of Lakewood, California; her maternal grandfather and step-grandmother John Kemp and Lisa Benson of Guthrie, Oklahoma; her paternal great-grandmother Anna Panero of Redondo Beach, California and her maternal great grandmother Fern Heyman of Edwards, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother Lana Kemp.
