Debra Fink Millhouse was born June 6, 1962 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Gerald and Penny Fink. She was the oldest of three siblings, Lynn and Gerry. Deb attended school in Buffalo and graduated from Buffalo High School in 1980. Following graduation, she received an associate’s degree in business from Sheridan College in 1982. She married the love of her life, Todd Millhouse in 1983 in Buffalo at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. They lived in Laramie while Todd finished college before moving back to Buffalo, where they remained until Deb’s death. They raised four amazing sons, Jayson, Travis, Adam and Carter. In 2006, Deb graduated from the Sheridan Nursing program. She then went to work full-time for Johnson County Health Care. In 2012, she received her Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Wyoming. She loved to work in the ER and on the floor, especially the OB unit where she took care of new moms and babies. After she became ill, she transferred to working for Susie Bowling Lawrence as a hospice nurse. Deb was loved by both her patients and her fellow healthcare workers.
Deb loved to read, especially near her chickens! She really enjoyed the annual camping trip that allowed her to have uninterrupted time with her family. Animals were a passion of hers, she said that her family and animals made her home her favorite place to be. She enjoyed throwing ceramics, but if asked what her favorite things to do, she would say, having all of her kids home for the holidays and going to Red Rocks with her boys to see The String Cheese Incident perform live. Deb found peace in the Lord and found peace in that love. Deb was surrounded by love and leaves her husband, Todd; sons, Jayson with wife Trish, Travis, Adam and Carter Millhouse; parents Gerald and Penny Fink, and mother-in-law Marjorie Millhouse all of Buffalo. She was also surrounded by Emily Groskop, whom Deb considered a daughter and her three children, Grace, Sam and Faith, also of Buffalo. Her siblings, sister, Lynne with husband Chris Knudson, with sons Manny, Aaron and Collin Rodriguez with their families all of Buffalo, and brother, Gerry Fink of Billings, Montana and his three daughters, Emily, Serena and Lauren. Deb also held a special place in her heart for Mike Rodriguez, her former brother-in-law always her boy’s Uncle. Todd’s family was also very important to Deb, she had special relationships with brother-in-law Dirk and his daughter Ashley Millhouse; sister-in-law Sue Reynolds and her son Elliot with wife Rachel, daughter Saraha with husband Josh with new great-nephew Atlas McInnis. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father-in-law Paul Millhouse.
