Marjorie “Marge” A. Kraft

Marjorie A. (Marge) Kraft, born November 3, 1933, in Neenah, Wisconsin to Leo Carl Giese and Genevieve Horkman Giese, peacefully passed away at Westview Health Care Center in Sheridan on May 7, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Marge graduated from Neenah High School in 1951 and then continued on to nursing school in Chicago, Illinois. Upon graduating, she returned home to Neenah to begin her nursing career at Theda Clark Hospital.

In 1955, Marge met Richard (Dick) Kraft at a popular gathering place in Appleton, Wisconsin. After a year-plus-long courtship, Marge and Dick married on October 20, 1956, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Parish in Menasha, Wisconsin. After the birth of their daughter Debbie, the new couple uprooted to find their new home in Sheridan, Wyoming in 1958, where they have lived ever since. Marge worked first and foremost as a mother, and for many years helped to run the family business, Kraft’s Fine Jewelry. Marge loved golfing, traveling, and spending time with family.

Marge was preceded in death by her parents Leo Carl Giese and Genevieve Horkman Giese, along with her brothers and sister-in-law, John L. “Jack” Giese, Carlton H. (Mardelle) Giese, and William R. Giese Ford.

She is survived by her husband Dick of 68 years; children Debbie (Tony) Ray of Boise, Idaho; Steve (Echo) Kraft of Sheridan; Linda (Curt) Pinder of Cheyenne; Tom (Susan) Kraft of Sheridan; and Dan Kraft of Castle Rock, Colorado. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law Julianne Giese, Mary Ford, and Joan Rausch. Marge was also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, along with countless nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank everyone at Westview for the wonderful, loving care they provided over the last 7 months.

A private family service will be held at a future date, whereafter her ashes will be placed in the Horkman/Giese Family plot at Saint Margaret’s Cemetery in Neenah, Wisconsin.
