Loren E. Foster, of Wibaux, MT went to be with our Lord & Savior at the age of 63 on April 22, 2025, following a stroke at church on Easter Sunday.

Born April 6, 1962, in Hayward, WI to Larry & Ruth Ostlund Foster. He joined his sister LaRae. The family lived at the Signor Gospel Mission on the Lac Courte Oreilles Indian Reservation, where his dad pastored.

The family moved to Rupert, ID in 1964 when Loren was 2 years old. Brother Lyle was born in Rupert. Loren and Lyle along with friends Brent, Bill and Joe shared many adventures along the Snake River – fishing, camping & swimming. He competed in team roping and cutting on the high school rodeo team and graduated from Minico High School in 1980.

Loren continued his education at Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, ND from 1980 to 1984 where he obtained a Bachelor’s in Bible and missions. He then moved to Sheridan, WY, where he was the youth pastor at Sunrise Assembly of God church. It was there that he met Wendy Bloxom and they were married in November 1985. To this marriage, daughter Lindsay and son Clint were born. His kids were his passion, showing them his love for the outdoors including camping, hiking, fishing and hunting. Loren and Wendy divorced in October 2002.

Loren and Deb Podolak met in 2008 through mutual friends and their relationship grew, and they were married May 30th, 2009 at Bethesda Worship Center in Sheridan, WY. They lived in Banner, WY until moving to Wibaux, MT in November 2009. They enjoyed time together on their little homestead raising chickens, goats, sheep and gardening. He loved taking Deb on picnics and hiking adventures in Theodore Roosevelt National Park, Medicine Rocks State Park, Makoshika State Park and Fort Peck Reservoir. Loren believed that fruit trees should be planted wherever he lived, so 5 different types of apple trees were planted over the years.

He loved God, his family and friends. Loren and Deb attended Calvary Temple in Wibaux and later Break Forth Bible Church in Glendive, MT. Missions were very important to Loren and spreading the love of God everywhere.
