Margaret JoAnn Hayes

Margaret JoAnn Deist Hayes “Peg”, 84, passed away on April 9, 2025, in Buffalo, Wyoming, surrounded by family. Originally from Pennsylvania, Peg was born on November 13, 1940, to the late John Lester Deist and Frances Marie Janeczek Deist.

She loved to read and craft. She was a member of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), where she won awards, and was a judge. She ran her own business, “Peg’s Vintage Parts.”

She was preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband, David Eugene Hayes, of 46 years.

She is survived by her children, Betty Ann (Bob) Matheny, Ray Wayne Rose, Roger William (Cindy) Rose and stepchildren David Eugene (Tina) Hayes, Ralph Brett (Annie) Hayes, and Donita Ann (Dondi) Ellis. She is survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
