Clarence E. Morgan passed away on June 13, 2024, at Green House Living in Sheridan, Wyoming. He was born in Rosebud, SD, on January 13, 1941, to Jennings and Helen [Parker] Morgan. He was the twin brother of Shirley Ann, who died 41 days later. He was a member of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe (Sicangu Lakota Oyate). He attended Littleburg Community School and Mission High School in South Dakota.

He met the love of his life, Linda Petersen, while a senior in high school and they married September 6, 1959. They moved to Cody, NE, to work for a rancher who used horses to take feed to his herd. In the spring they moved to Chadron, NE, where he was the produce manager for Safeway. Their daughter Marsha joined the couple. Ranching drew them back to his parent’s place where they stayed for 4 years and added their son Todd to the family. Wanting to be on his own, they rented his in-law’s farm twelve miles south of Hay Springs, NE. Another son, Joel, joined the family. His love of planning, planting, and harvesting crops kept them on the farm for 45 years. They had a grade-A dairy for 20-plus years, then raised feeder pigs, lambed old ewes, and cow-calf pairs. He worked one day a week at Sheridan Livestock Auction Barn for 30-plus years. He claimed it was his day off.

Clarence and Linda retired in 2008, selling their farm and moving to Chadron, NE, where they lived before moving to Buffalo, WY, to be closer to family.

Preceding him in death were his parents, four brothers, two sisters, a brother-in-law, and a sister-in-law.

Surviving are his wife, Linda, daughter, Marsha (Jim) Mapes, sons, Todd and Joel (Jennifer), granddaughter, Vanessa (Derek) Gall, grandsons, Noah and Adam Morgan, and great-grandsons, Cohen and Jake Gall; sisters-in-law Doris and Della, Dorothy (Mike Watters) and numerous nieces and nephews.

No services are planned at this time. Memorials can be made to St. Francis Animal Shelter, 109 Flatiron Dr., Buffalo, WY 82834

Online condolences may be written at www.kanefuneral.com. Kane Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
