Vernon L. Kluck

Vernon L. Kluck, 90, of Sheridan, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024. He was born December 25, 1933, in McClusky, ND to Art and Helen (Engel) Kluck.
Vern married Florence Dockter of McClusky, ND on November 9, 1955. Vern graduated from Denhoff, ND High School and graduated from North Dakota State University in 1956 with a B.S. degree in Pharmacy.
Vern was employed at Osco Drug, Fargo, ND, and St. Cloud, Minnesota, and later purchased McClusky Drug. In 1978 Vern, along with business partner Garen Emrick, purchased Brown Drug, Sheridan, WY. Vern, after retiring from pharmacy, went into partnership with Skip Lenz at Skip’s Auto.
Vern grew up on a farm near Denhoff, ND with seven siblings.
Vern served on many civic and community organizations while a resident and business owner at McClusky, ND. Vern volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Habitat for Humanity, in Sheridan, WY.
Vern is preceded in death by his son, Neal, sister Marilyn, and brothers Elmer, Everett, and Jim.
He is survived by his wife Florence, daughter Shelly Schwabauer, and grandsons Seth and Spencer Schwabauer all of Sheridan, WY. He is also survived by sister Darlene and brothers Jerry (Venus) and Don (Donna).
Vern was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sheridan, WY.
Services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Trinity Lutheran Church at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Wold officiating. A reception will follow at the church. Memorials to honor Vern can be made to Habitat for Humanity, 44 Fort Rd., Sheridan, WY 82801; Sheridan County Fulmer Public Library, 335 W. Alger St., Sheridan, WY 82801; or Trinity Lutheran Church, 135 Crescent Dr., Sheridan, WY 82801.
