Zachary Nicholson

Zachary Nicholson, 29, of Colorado, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.
Zach was one of the funniest people you will ever meet. Despite many in his life who tried to dim his world and take his sense of self-worth, Zach still had a sparkle in his eyes that shone like diamonds. When he laughed his belly laugh, you had no choice but to laugh along with him. Zach tried to do right by others, never afraid to lend a hand when someone needed him. He could joke with anybody, his sense of humor and quick witty comebacks were sure to make you laugh until your stomach hurt. He had a way of making strangers feel like they had known him forever. When you hugged him, he was solid as a rock and when he shook your hand, he would squeeze so tight he would make you say mercy. He loved being dressed to the nine, whether it was for date night or just stopping by for dinner, he always looked sharp. He liked his diesel trucks and Peterbilts. Zach loved mountain trips where he could ride an RZR alongside his family. He enjoyed fishing, driving big trucks, and relaxing in the evenings and never minded a scoop or two of Peanut Butter. Zach found someone special, a girl who finally loved him back the way he deserved. He was going to ask her to be his wife. He was a loyal and loving son, brother, boyfriend, and soon-to-be uncle. The day Zach was taken, he took a piece of each and every one of us- sometimes it feels like he took too much.
The pain of losing him so suddenly has been immeasurable but with shattered hearts, we send him on his way, knowing that we will see him once again. Until then, Zach, know that our love for you is endless.
