The Arts at Sheridan College will present Jazz at Sheridan College at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 17, in Kinnison Hall at the Whitney Center for the Arts.
The show will feature guest soloist Dr. Scott Jeppesen, saxophone (Montana State University-Billings), and will be directed by the Sheridan College Director of Bands and Jazz Studies Dr. Eric Richards.
Jeppesen is considered to be one of the most respected jazz saxophonists in the Rocky Mountain Region, according to Richards.
“From our own SC Jazz community, we’re looking forward to premiering a new composition titled Big Horn Bossa by our SC Jazztet as well as introducing our own Rocio Gosende-Washburn, advisor in our TRIO program, as a featured jazz vocal soloist. It will be a great night of swinging music,” Richards said in an email.
This event is free and open to the public.
