Council Approves Amendment to Project Partnership Agreement With ACOE

A cost increase adjustment for the Army Corps of Engineers 1135 Ecosystem Restoration Project was an item of consideration during Tuesday night’s Sheridan City Council meeting. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
City Engineer Hanns Mercer, during a presentation to the council and Mayor Rich Bridger, provided some background on the restoration project that was initiated in 2014 with a feasibility agreement between the City and the Army Corps of Engineers.
Mercer said a schedule and cost change request needed to be submitted by the City in order to document changes in the project costs based on the increased costs and contract bids.
The $700,000 that staff requested as part of the cost increase for the project was approved by the council on a vote of 4 to 2. Councilors Clint Beaver and Kristen Jennings voted against the amendment to the project partnership agreement with the Army Corps of Engineers.
