Library Hours Topic of Discussion for County Commission

The hours and days of operation of the Johnson County Library were discussed at the recent county commission meeting.

Commissioner Bob Perry said he had been contacted by community members complaining of the operating hours at the library, saying it closed too early during the week and was closed on Saturdays.

According the their Facebook page, the library is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 to 6; and Tuesday and Thursday from 11 to 7.

The library is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Commissioner Linda Greenough asked Perry if he had discussed his concerns with Library Director Steve Rzasa, which he said he had not.

Library board member Margaret Smith, who was at the commission meeting, asked Perry to attend the next library board meeting to discuss the issue further.
