JCHC CEO: Staff Stepping Up During COVID Spike

Johnson County Healthcare Center Chief Executive Officer Luke Senden, in his report to the hospital board, said the staff has been stepping up to cover shifts and doing extra during the recent COVID spike.
Senden said the facility has been paying increased incentive pay for those staff members that have been willing to take extra responsibilities.
He said he is aware of healthcare worker burnout that is affecting not only the healthcare center in Buffalo, but hospitals and care facilities across the county.
He said he believes they have done what they can to be proactive and address that but it is something they need to be mindful of and continue looking for ways to support the staff.
