Buffalo Skijoring Event Set For March 5

The Johnson County Ski-Jor Wars event will be ba ck again in 2022, according to a release from Buffalo Events, Inc.

The event will be happening on Saturday, March 5 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds, beginning at 10am.

There will be numerous divisions for competitors including Youngsters, Midsters, Old Farts, Boarder Bandits, Chicks on Sticks, Mule Skinners, and Cross Traders.

Entries ar $50 per team and registrations will begin soon.

Spectators can enjoy the event for $5 per carload.

The weekend will kickoff Friday, March 4 with registrations at the Occidental Hotel at 6pm and live music to follow.

The event itself will be Saturday, and everything will wrap up Saturday night with the awards ceremony at 7pm at the Cowboy Saloon.

Refreshments will be available at the fairgrounds all day Saturday.

Johnson County Ski-Jor Wars is sponsored by the Buffalo Lions Club and the Johnson County Tourism Association.
