SAFER Grant Program

A resolution approving the submission of an application for a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant was approved by the Sheridan City Council Monday night. Sheridan Fire Rescue Fire Chief Gary Harnish said the grant is intended to help with Fire Department staffing costs.

Harnish said the SAFER grant is a phased-in grant.

The SAFER grant program is through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The application deadline is February 5.
