Wyoming will soon get more money from the federal government, and state leaders need to figure out what to do with it.

The state is set to receive the second half of the American Rescue Plan Act funding, or $534 million this coming May.

Last month Governor Mark Gordon released his recommendations, which included a little less than $500 million in funds for a range of programs and investments across 10 Goal Areas identified by his Strike Team.

Members of Governor Gordon’s cabinet will hold a virtual town hall meeting on Friday (January 7th, 2022) at 12:30pm, to review the Governor’s recommendations.

The Strike Team will be present and will be available to answer questions.

The team consists of Robin Cooley, who is the Director of the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services, Korin Schmidt, who is the Director of the Wyoming Department of Family Services, Stefan Johansson, who is the interim director of the Wyoming Department of Health, and Renny MacKay, who is the Governor’s Policy Director.
