An Increase in Pay

A monthly salary increase from $500 to $1,000 for members of the Sheridan City Council is an item that will be considered by the City Council at their meeting Monday night. The last time the Council’s salary was adjusted was in 2001 when it increased from $300 a month to the current $500. Sheridan Mayor Rich Bridger says the increase, if approved, would not affect current councilors.
Mayor Bridger also talked about some of the City’s goals in the New Year.
The Council will also be considering the third and final reading of an ordinance for the Parker Avenue Rezone and an ordinance requesting the annexation of 1.49 acres of property at 4672 Coffeen Avenue. The Council will meet at 7 pm Monday on the third floor of City Hall in Council Chambers.
