Kendrick Park Pool Project

The first step in renovating one of Sheridan’s most popular summertime destinations was taken after recent action by the Sheridan City Council. Sheridan Media’s Ron Richter has the details.
In 1937 Kendrick Pool was built by Evelyn and Edward Moore, who presented the pool to the City of Sheridan. For over 80 years, the pool has been a landmark in Kendrick Park. In the 2019 City of Sheridan Parks and Recreation Master Plan Update Community Survey, Kendrick Park Pool rated as one of the top priorities for investment for recreation facilities, as over 70 percent of the respondents to the survey said they’d like to see the pool renovated or rebuilt. The City Council, at their regularly scheduled business meeting Monday night, approved a resolution to apply for a Land and Water Conservation Fund Grant to help fund the renovation and rebuild of the Kendrick Pool. City Engineer Hanns Mercer.
The grant the City is applying for is in the amount of $500,000 and will be used in conjunction with Wyoming Community Development Authority grants, and Capital Facilities Tax, Public Benefit, and GPET funds that have been allocated for the project.
