WebmasterThe family of a girl that went missing from a Montana rest stop on New Year’s Day is asking for the public to help assist search effort by reporting any information that may lead to her whereabouts according to Q2. 16 year old Selena Not Afraid from Hardin was last seen at a rest area between Billings and Hardin before she reportedly wandered away. A broken down vehicle was the reason they had stopped. Not Afraid’s family believes that she has moved on to Wyoming or South Dakota and they remain actively positive their loved one is alive.
Big Horn County Sheriff Pete Big Hair said that detectives are still chasing down leads including information that purports an old green station wagon with Wyoming license plates was seen driving away when the family first arrived at Not Afraid’s last known location. 100’s of people have been involved in the search so far. Sheriff Big Hair said that the search has moved on from the rest stop to areas including Indian Creek Frontage Road. They did not find any clues along that roadway, which runs parallel to Interstate 90.
