Buffalo Mayor Proclaims Jason Carder Day

Mayor of Buffalo Shane Schrader made a proclamation at this week’s city council meeting naming Friday, October 29th as “Jason Carder Day,” to honor the retiring Chief of Police on his last day on the job.

Schrader and Carder both spoke after the proclamation.

Carder’s last official duty will be helping with the annual Monster March before signing off for the last time.

According to the mayor, Captain Garth Nicholas will become the acting chief of police when Carder steps down, and will fill that position until a permanent replacement is found.
