Sheridan Commission Approves Conditional Use Permit

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have approved a Conditional Use Permit (Cup) for the petitioner to operate a lawn care and snow removal business on a 2.74-acre property located on West Loucks Street in Sheridan County.

County Planner Mark Reid said Bobby and Laura Pruitt had filed the CUP for Laura’s Lawn Care & Snow Removal, and that the Planning & Zoning Commission had approve the CUP with some conditions, one of which was discussed during the Public Hearing.

  1. Business signage shall not increase beyond what exists presently, nor be illuminated.
  2. Relative to the business, only fully shielded cut-off lighting fixtures may be used for new exterior lighting that minimizes glare to passing motorists or neighboring properties.
  3. All business-related equipment, supplies or materials be limited to areas identified on the application site plan.
  4. That there be no exterior storage of business-related junk, inoperable equipment, or debris (regardless of screening) kept at the site.
  5. If the type of occupancy being proposed falls within the scope of the IBC as adopted by Sheridan County any new structure, future structure modifications or additions will require Sheridan County Building Permits. Future structures/modifications/additions may also require a new CUP.
