County Votes Continuation of Transportation Agreement

Sheridan County’s Commissioners have voted to extend an existing cooperative agreement between the county, the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) and and the City of Sheridan for the Urban Systems Program in the Sheridan area.

County Administrative Director Renee Obermueller explained the agreement further.

According to the agreement, the Surface Transportation Program Urban (STP-U) fund balance is administered and held in trust by WYDOT and is funded at the discretion of the Transportation Commission of Wyoming.

WYDOT may distribute STP-U funds for preliminary engineering as well as construction of Urban Systems projects.

The City of Sheridan has already signed the agreement and it will be sent to WYDOT for signatures after the county signs it as well.
