Mayor Gives Update on Flatiron Drive Project

Buffalo Mayor Shane Schrader, in an interview with Sheridan Media, discussed the City of Buffalo’s Flatiron Drive project, saying it is on schedule and moving forward, although there was a minor issue before the project could get started.
Mayor Schrader said utilities will continue to be installed underground in the project, and after that is completed then roadwork and grading will commence, with concrete paving not likely happening until the spring.
Schrader said the contractor would resume work on the project when temperatures would allow in 2022.
The Flatiron Drive Project consists of concrete paving of Flatiron Drive and Flagstaff Way where they will meet at Cinema Drive; water and sewer line installation on Cinema Drive and parts of Flagstaff Way; and the installation of storm drains.
The project has a tentative completion date in July of 2022.
