Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter in need of good foster homes

The Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter has experienced a high number of dog surrenders. Currently, there is a waiting list to surrender dogs at the shelter.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse, Dog and Cat Shelter Executive Director Jill Moriarty asked willing Sheridan residents for a little help to foster dogs that are awaiting a new home.
Potential fosters must first fill out the foster application. Then have a discussion with the necessary department lead. This discussion will help to find what best fits the potential foster home.
Potential fosters must be 18 or older, have proof of homeownership or approval of a landlord, if the potential foster has other animals they must be up to date on vaccines to protect their animals and the shelter’s animals. The Dog and Cat Shelter recommends a fenced yard for fostering dogs.
