Longmire Organizers Update Council, Seek Permissions

Jennifer McCormick, with the Longmire Foundation who is organizing this year’s Longmire Days events, spoke with the Buffalo City Council at their meeting this week to update them on the lates news on the celebration, and to ask for some road closures associated with the events.

McCormick said the foundation has decided not to have a street dance this year, saying they didn’t think it would be a responsible choice and it just “doesn’t feel right” to have it.

She did say they would be putting on their Longmire Days 5K, and asked for a street closure for tha event.

Also approved was a street closure for East Fetterman Street from Main Street to the alley for events in Crazy Woman Square from Friday, September 3^rd through Sunday, September 5^th.
