JCSD1 Board Agrees to be Liaisons for Schools

The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County School District discussed their feelings on board members becoming liaisons to the various schools within the district.

District Superintendent Charles Auzqui explained the idea further and what would be expected and not expected of the board members if the plan was implemented.

Board members were agreeable with the plan, as long as school administrators understood the visits are not intended for the board to “check up” on the schools, but to just represent the board in school activities or in special occasions.

The board asked Auzqui to move forward with the idea.
