The YMCA is approaching their Y50 Goal
The Sheridan County YMCA is approaching their goal for the Y50 campaign, but it to reach it, they need a little push.
While appearing on Sheridan Media’s Public Pulse YMCA Executive Director Liz Cassiday told listeners about the campaign that was organized to raise funds that would ensure another 50 years of use out of the facilities that house the YMCA.
The campaign’s goal is $7.3 million dollars and with the generosity of the Sheridan community, they are only $387,000 from reaching that amount.

This money has already begun to not only preserve but improve the YMCA. According to Cassiday the projects these funds will help come to fruition include a youth entrance and center with increased capacity for childcare, preschool and after school care, an HVAC overhaul, new sprinkler lines, asbestos removal of original areas of the building, filling in old pools and demolition of decommissioned locker rooms, climbing wall and climbing strength training equipment and creating devoted art space and more.
