The Sheridan Police Department would like to remind everyone that on-street public parking spaces in the business district shall not be occupied by any vehicle from the hours of 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.

In a statement, the SPD said officials have an ordinance (16-29) in place which usually covers parking issues downtown for the streets to be cleaned or ploughed for snow.

The business district is defined as an area bounded by, and including, the bounding portions of the following streets and their intersections: Brooks Street on the west, Dow Street on the north, Scott and Broadway Streets on the east and Burkitt Street on the south.

The SPD asks residents and visitors to be extra cognizant of the ordinance this Thursday night and early Friday morning so officials can get a head start on organizing and preparing for the WYO Rodeo parade.

The SPD is also asking that all vehicles be removed from Main Street from Brundage to Dow and from the 50 block of Grinnell Plaza by 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday nights. The streets will be closed to accommodate extra patrons of downtown bars.

Koltiska asked residents to allow more time for travel in the community, specifically after the Sheridan WYO Rodeo Parade.

In the press release the SPD stated they wish the community a fun and safe week with hopes that everyone enjoys the rodeo activities.
