Sheridan County Airport to Pursue Federal Grant

The Sheridan County Commission voted to authorize the Sheridan County Airport to pursue a grant application for just over $1 million in federal assistance from the Airport Rescue Grant Program through the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA).

Airport Manager John Stopka addressed the commission at their meeting this week to explain how the grant funding will be used.

Stopka said there is also an application available which he does not yet have that will provide relief for rent and other expenses for internal concessions, airport car rental and parking.

The commission approved the grant application.
