New Nurse Manager Takes Over JCPH

Johnson County Public Health has a new Nurse Manager, concluding a months-long search for a replacement for previous Nurse Manager Trisha Thompson, who left the position this spring.

In a release from the county public health office, it was announced that Mechelle Rivera, RN, has officially been named the new County Nurse Manager at Johnson County Public Health.

Rivera was most recently at Sheridan County Public Health and has much experience in public health and through the COVID-19 crisis.

Robin King, Public Health Response Coordinator for Johnson & Sheridan Counties,

said she will be reaching out to the community for some personal introductions with Rivera in the coming weeks as she gets settled into her new position.

King also said a new staff nurse should be named soon as well, and she will make that announcement when it happens.
