Sheridan Woman Sentenced for Drug Distribution

A sentencing hearing was held Thursday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for 61-year-old Anneliese Panasenko, who was charged last November with Possession of a Controlled Substance With Intent to Deliver- Marijuana, and Delivery of a Controlled Substance to a Minor- Marijuana. An investigation that resulted in her residence being searched by law enforcement and finding marijuana that was packaged for distribution led to her arrest for the crimes.

District Court Judge John Fenn at Thursday’s hearing, accepted the terms of the plea agreement that was reached with the State, and sentenced Panasenko for the possession with intent to deliver charge to 3 to 5 years in prison, suspended in lieu of three years of supervised probation. The delivery to a minor charge was dismissed as part of the plea deal. Panasenko was also ordered to pay $375 in various court costs and fees.
